NYC DAY 3

After two quite busy days we decided to go to Central Park. We were there for like one hour just relaxing and making funNY pics. When we were totally zen we did some shopping at 5th Avenue. The Apple store was really cool I touched the Ipad and the Iphone 4 (yes oelala). Abercombie&Fitch was a nice experience, it's not really my style, but there was a sort of cheerful atmosphere. I think it's funny you have to wait to go in the store and inside there is a boy with a sixpack just standing to show his sixpack, hahah.

At 5th Avenue there were beautiful shops, unfortunately
too expensive for me. Nearby there were Bloomingdales and Urban Outfitters. I liked Bloomingdales more than Macy's, it's more modern I think. I also liked the Urban Outfitters there I bought a black leahter bag wit leahter studs, I'm really happy with it! I'll show you a pic in one of the next posts. You see it was very hot outside, so behind the fact that there were a lot of beautiful clothes in the stores I loved to go inside the stores because of the airconditioning. Hahah!

In the evening we went to the musical WICKED, my sister and I were very excited about it. Wicked is the untold story of the witches of oz. So much happened before Dorothy dropped in.

NYC DAY 2

The second day we walked to the Empire State Building with a quick stop at Starbucks. There Naomi felt in love with the chocolate muffin. When we arrived at the Empire State Building there was a row and another row and (guess what?) another row. It looks like I was waiting to get in a rollercoaster at an amusement park. But when we finally arrived at the top it was awesome. Really pretty, a littly misty but amazing!

When we had enough of the view and the heights we went back down and my sister and I decided to do something on our own and we went shopping. We started at 34th street were we shopped at Forever 21, Steve Madden, Fossil, American Eagle outfitters and a lot more. At Macy's I bought a very cute silver necklage for a fairly good price!
We lunched at the McDonalds (oh-oh) and after that we walked to the St. Patricks Cathedral. It's one of the locations were you can see the funny contrast between the classic cathedral and the hyper modern skyscraper behind it, I really like it! Next thing we strolled around Rockerfellas Center and a little bit of 5th Avenue.

For dinner we went to the Meatpacking District. I think this is the most fashionable neighborhood in New York, with hip restaurants and exclusive shops. We had dinner at Fig & Olive, were I had the best chicken salad ever.

NYC DAY 1 PART 2

We also did a full-island cruise, it took about 3 hours. We relaxed and saw a lot of New York. The highlights were the Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building, The Yankees Stadion and the oh so many bridges. From the helicopter and the boat I thought the Statue of liberty was not that big as I'd have imagined. But when I look at my photo and see all those tiny people, there is no other way that the statue of liberty is just really big!
After the boat tour we changed clothes and ate at an Italian restaurant.

NYC DAY 1 PART 1

I just arrived yesterday and I really had a great time in New York. New York is beautiful in it's own way. The whole atmosphere is awesome with the skyscrapers, the yellow caps, the sirenes and even the tourists. We stayed at the Paramount Hotel, 20 meters from Times Square. I shared my room with my little sister (Naomi, 19 years, Graphic Designer).

The first day we went on a tour with a helicopter, it was really amazing. The flight took about 15-20 minutes and believe me, it was a experience of a lifetime. I definitely recommend a helicopter flight to everyone who's going to NY. You get the most beautiful overview from manhattan and it's just very cool to be in a helicopter. All with the headphones and a pilot beside you. It was fun! We saw the skyscrapers, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park and at last but not least the Yankees Stadion.

After the Helicopter adventure we walked to Pier 17. Pier 17 is a shopping center with some restaurants. I like this part very much, I think it was quite new in Manhattan and it had a good vibe! After lunch we did a little shopping. Naomi bought a cute bra at Victoria Secret. We also had a nice view from Pier 17!

Here you can see our hotel room with the bed and my clothes hanging in the closet

I like to think they were recording a scene for a movie or series, but I don't know for sure. Although it looks like it! Later we did a TV & Movie tour (I'll tell you all about it later in another post) and they told us there was a lot of filming for Law and Order in New York, so who knows!

Here you can see my sister in her blue red outfit at pier 17. I really like her bag
